Liverpool
Liverpool was unlucky last season, having lost points to Hull City at home, and other lower league table opposition the title would be in Liverpool.
I personally think they will do very well this season, if they manage to keep their key players; I tip them to lift the title.
Manchester United
As we all know Manchester United have something a lot of the “BIG 4″ don’t have, and that’s Alex Ferguson. Having lost Ronaldo & Tevez could this be the icing on the cake for the Liverpool supporters?
All you have to do is look at the statistics from the past 3 premier league seasons. Ronaldo will be a big loss to UTD, but Alex Ferguson has recruited Owen & Valencia. Already in the pre-seasons games Owen has shined and scored a few goals. I ask myself this question “Is Manchester United capable of retaining the title once again after losing 2 of their most attacking players?” We will find out soon!
I personally think that UTD will finish 2nd, but don’t be disheartened UTD fans, this season is going to be the closest title race you have ever witnessed! And for me it’s a 2 horse race once again between Liverpool & Manchester United. It could go either way!
Chelsea
A dark-horse this season! Do they have what it takes to lift the title? They certainly have some fantastic players but they always fall short in recent times. Will they bring more players in and strengthen? Who knows? If they do… Once again, you cannot rule them out for the title.
But I predict Chelsea to finish 3rd this season.
Arsenal
Arsenal is in big decline! Wenger is losing players in the transfer market, and of course due to injuries. He’s lost his direction, and it looks like “spending cheap” is going to bite him on his back-side.
Wenger and Arsenal together are known for breeding talent and signing over sea young guns, looking to develop them into top premier league players.
They do not have the financial power like Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United? Grant you, the argument may well be all the above clubs are in debt, that is correct, but Arsenal are really in the thick stuff.
Arsenal will miss out on a top 4 finish this season; I predict them to finish 6th or 7th. With Wenger then given the marching orders!
Fulham, Aston Villa and Everton, are the teams that we should be watching this season, they was all a breath of fresh air last season and i expect a lot of building and progress to be made this coming season also.
Regarding relegation, I think it’s between Wigan, Stoke, Blackburn, Hull, Pompey. Take your pick it’s a hard one to call!
If Hull City signs 3-4 decent players, i think they will be fine as they are already solid in defence with Gardener returning from injury, Bullard returning September time, and they also have a new defender that they recently signed.
Wolves & Birmingham have had a very active time in the transfer market; they have both signed some good quality and proven premier league players, with some over-sea’s talent. I expect them to do well this season.
So that’s my predictions, I’m open to people bashing my head off, but I would love to see your comments.
Thanks,
Good luck for this season.
