Liverpool and Manchester City are expected to fight it out over Carlos Tevez’ signature in the coming days.

Man United’s Argentine sensation is currently on a two-year ‘lease deal’ at Old Trafford with both the above sides reportedly eager to land their man.

Tevez’ international team-mate and Liverpool midfielder Javier Mascherano gave his view on Tevez coming to Anfield a couple of days ago.

“I hope we can count on him,” Mascherano said. “He would be great for us. However, it will be a tough fight because so many clubs are interested in him.”

The man himself has been mentally and physically drained by United’s refusal to confirm their final bid for him. It’s expected that he’ll attract more interest from Europe’s finest, and sign a permanent deal elsewhere this summer.
