According to latest reports Liverpool were the latest team to join the race for the Roma mid fielder Julio Baptista.The Roman has been linked to number of clubs this summer most importantly the serie A powerhouse Inter Milan. More recently the Brazillian striker has also been approached by other premier league teams like Everton and Tottenham.

The 27 year old who has already spent a season in the premier league as a Gunner, is said to have denied any interests in any further moves to the premier league.Meanwhile the Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez believes that the brazillian’s keen eye for the goal is likely to help the reds lift up from their woeful start to the season. The reds have been rumored to have offered a deal in tune of £13million for the ‘Beast’.
With his former team mate Alberto Aquilani already joining the red brigade, Liverpool would be hoping to recombine the duo to help them get over their dull start to the season.
